I’ve loved working with words ever since I had to keep a daily written log for a project in grade school. I studied creative writing and graduated from the Evergreen State College. I later went on to learn about the theory and art of cooking in culinary school and restaurants. I frequently combine my focus on the written word and my passion for the kitchen to test and edit cookbook recipes. When I’m not scribbling notes or querying authors, I like to lace up some running sneaks and hit the pavement. After fighting the forces of my Jersey girl/West Coast duality, I finally settled down in Chicago, where I live with my wife and our cats Bear, Piper, and Fanta.
